Trinity Class News Due!

Hello, classmates! Suzie Cavanaugh Gorgi reports that news from the Class of 1981 is due for the journal very soon. She'll be sending out a full message, but wanted this information on the class blog as soon as possible.

Passing of Charles M. Callahan

Charles M. Callahan, father of our classmate, Jan, passed away on June 25. In her message to classmates, Jan said:

"He loved that I went to Trinity and he loved all Trinity women. I know that I have told some of you this but, one of most important things he said to me while taking me to Trinity for my freshman year was, "Choose your friends wisely, because these will be the friends you'll have for the rest of your life." . . . Say a prayer for my dad....Jan "

Mr. Callahan led an extraordinary life. With Jan's permission, I'll post the document she sent me in a few days. In the meantime, you may see Mr. Callahan's public obituary at this link, where there is also a guestbook for condolences.

Share Your Photos from Reunion

We now have an online class album at Shutterfly. The album is permanently linked on the right side of the blog. You may also go to this link http://trinity81.shutterfly.com and bookmark the page. You do need a password to access the album; I've sent it to all class members for whom I have email addresses. You will also need to set up a free account on Shutterfly to be able to add photos, comment on them or order copies.

There are three "albums" within our collection:

• Reunion 2006 - post photos from this reunion here;
• Blue Class Gatherings - whenever you have a mini-reunion with a few classmates, grab a camera and post the results here;
• Travels with 81 - whether you visit an exotic location or just want to share a cute shot of your cuties, post it here.

Once you're a member, you can also create additional albums.

Email Subscription Service Enabled

Hello, friends. I've added an option to this class blog that will allow you to receive email notifications when someone posts a comment. With this option, you won't need to remember to check the blog - it will remind you itself whenever someone adds something new. All you need to do is type your email address in the box on the lower right side of the blog where it says, "Enter your email" then click on "Subscribe me." You'll be sent to a new page at Feedblitz (the feed aggregator) where you can just follow the instructions. You'll have to enter some text from an image that serves as an anti-spam device, but it's easy.

After you submit your address, you'll be subscribed to our blog's email notification system through the Feedblitz aggregator. You can customize the way in which you receive these notifications (full text or headline, for example) in your Feedblitz Dashboard.

The Trinity College Class of 1981 gathered at Clyde's to catch up and remember our happy days at Trinity. Let's not let the pleasure of reunion fade before connecting in a more permanent way. This blog will allow us to continue our community in the years between reunions. Please join this blog by:
